Our pals over at Wild Fizz have made us a ruddy well perfect Warm Chai Kombucha recipe for the festive season, send us snaps of your delights to @thegutstuff
- 2 part Ginger Kombucha
- 1 part Chai spiced liqour- prepared in advance. For 1 liter of Chai you’ll need- 1 litre of water, 4 sticks of Cinnamon bark, 3 star anis, 1 teaspoon cardamom seeds, squashed, 10 whole cloves, 3 teaspoons of black tea (in bags), some slices of orange & 5 teaspoons of sugar.
- 1 part Dark Rum
- Garnish with Star Anis, a whole Cinnamon stick and some cardamons and slice of orange
First we make the Chai spice liquor, so add to a pan the water and bring to boil, then add all the spices, tea and sugar & allow to simmer for 10-15min with the lid on. Remove tea bags and allow to simmer for another hour.
Once ready, add 1 part hot Chai, 2 parts Ginger Kombucha and 1 part Rum to tall stemmed glasses and garnish.
Serve straight away with some mince pies.
