Lisa posted a photo on instagram today @themactwins of some bread she had baked from the Gut Makeover plan we are following at the moment, lots of you got in touch wanting your healthy bread fix so we thought we’d pop the recipe up here for us all to enjoy!! Its so easy..even we can do it!
Gut Makeover “Bread” recipe
- 1 cup of walnuts, roughly chopped
- 1 cup of almonds, roughly chopped
- 1 cup of mixed seeds, e.g. pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds
- 5 eggs (beaten)
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp sea salt
Heat the oven to 165C.
Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl. In another bowl, mix together the eggs, oil and sea salt. Stir together the wet and dry ingredients.
Empty the mixture into a loaf tin greased with olive oil and bake in the oven for 1 hour. Remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin.
Once cool, cut it into slices.
