Q: What health issues were you struggling with before joining the programme?
A: For years, I battled diverticulitis, dealing with persistent pain and discomfort. I had spent so much money trying different treatments and diets, but nothing seemed to work long-term.
Q: What were the biggest challenges you faced before starting the programme?
A:
- I was in constant pain and didn’t know how to properly manage it.
- Medical professionals gave advice, but it wasn’t always practical or realistic.
- I had no idea I was eating far too little fibre—I never really thought about it.
- Reading food labels was confusing, and I wasn’t making the best nutrition choices.
Q: What made you decide to join the programme?
A: Honestly, I was skeptical at first, but I thought, “What have I got to lose?” I knew I needed to try something different, so I went in with an open mind.
Q: How has your health improved since starting the programme?
A:
- My pain has significantly reduced, and I feel so much healthier.
- I was shocked to learn how little fibre I had been eating—now I make sure I get enough.
- I drink a lot more water because I understand how important it is for gut health.
- I’ve become much more mindful of what I eat and how it affects my digestion.
- Tracking my habits daily has really helped me stay consistent.
Q: What parts of the programme did you find most helpful?
A:
- The daily structure – It was easy to follow, and I looked forward to each new challenge.
- Tracking tools – I’m a stickler for tracking, so the diary and even the toilet log were really useful.
- Community support – Talking about gut health can feel taboo, but knowing others were on the same journey was reassuring.
- Learning about food labels – Now, I can confidently read nutrition labels and make better food choices.
- Discovering new foods – Just last week, I found ice lollies with 5g of fibre—I never would have known before!
